Changing Ways Holistic was born from a deeply personal journey one that began generations ago in a Haitian kitchen, garden and now finds its home online, helping others reconnect with the healing power of nature.

As a first-generation Haitian-American, I was raised in a home where wellness wasn’t found in a pill bottle it grew outside our window. My grandmother always knew which leaf to steep, which root to crush, and which herb to pick for whatever ailed us. Whether it was a tummy ache, a sprain, or a stubborn cold, her garden always had an answer. And my mother made sure our plates were filled with fresh, organic fruits and vegetables many of which she proudly grew herself. Their love and wisdom shaped how I understood health, nourishment, and resilience.

As I grew older, I drifted, like many do, toward conventional medicine. But the more I was prescribed, the more I noticed how those solutions often left me feeling worse, numbing symptoms but never fully restoring me. That’s when I remembered: healing had never been about suppressing symptoms. It was always been about supporting the body giving it the nutrients, care, and space it needed to do what it was designed to do.

When my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, I knew it was time to return to my roots, deeply. I revisited the teas, tonics, and herbal remedies from my childhood, this time not just with nostalgia, but with intention and research. Alongside traditional medicine, we supported my mother’s body with earth-based healing, and today, she’s in remission. That moment changed everything.

As a life coach,  I’ve always lived to serve and support others. Launching Changing Ways Apothecary is my way of extending that care to a wider community. Here, we make the natural resources of the earth-herbs, tonics, and handcrafted remedies accessible, affordable, and rooted in love.

This store is more than a business. It’s a legacy of wisdom passed down by the women who raised me, and a promise to help others reclaim their own healing journey one leaf, one jar, one intentional breath at a time.
